CGR Credentials Help You Stand Out Among Professionals in a Competitive Remodeling Market.
Remodeling is the fastest growing segment of the residential construction market. Each year Americans spend more than $120 billion improving their homes. At the same time, remodeling attracts an expanding number of companies whose sights are aimed at this lucrative but competitive market. Those who succeed and are committed to professionalism in all aspects of their business operations deserve to be recognized, not only by their colleagues, but also by consumers looking to purchase professional remodeling services. The CGR designation was created to help identify those individuals who exemplify the professionalism of the remodeling industry.
What is CGR?
Certified Graduate Remodelor™(CGR) is an exclusive professional designation. The CGR Board of Governors operates the program under the auspices of the Remodelors™ Council of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB RC). The program confers CGR credentials on those in the remodeling field who meet its prescribed standards of business experience and practices and who complete the program’s educational requirements.
CGR is designed to increase remodelers’ professional credibility by identifying those who demonstrate exceptional business integrity, competence and a solid track record of consumer satisfaction.
Through its continuing education requirements, the CGR program improves a remodeler’s business expertise. The CGR program is the industry’s only designation program which emphasizes business management as the foundation of a successful remodeling company.
How Will CGR Help Me?

Enhance your competitive edge in the consumer/remodeler relationship.
Expand your consumer base.

How Often Do I Have To Recertify?
You are required to recertify every three years after your initial certification.
Recertification requirements include:
Complete the recertification application.
Obtain six points on the recertification application. At least three of the points should come from a six-hour or longer business-related course or seminar. The three remaining points may be earned by attending state/local education programs and/or industry trade shows.
